“I’m confident I’ve got him going there in the best form he could possibly be in. We just need the cards to fall right. If he gets a clear run I can’t see why he won’t run a big race.

He was originally booked for the Lloyd Williams-owned Latrobe, which was withdrawn from the race last month.
