Police spokeswoman Susan Usher said about 6:30pm three boys were waiting to cross Farrell Road in Midvale when the blue SUV mounted the traffic island just before the Jenark Way intersection and struck the three teens.

Two boys, aged 15 and 16, from Swan View were rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries. A 12-year-old boy, also from Swan View, escaped unharmed.

The 48-year-old Jane Brook driver of the BMW was not injured. Major crash officers are keen to speak to the people inside a dark coloured ute who are believed to have stopped the BMW on Orchid Avenue in Midvale.

They would also like to speak to anyone or saw the crash, or the blue BMW, or the teenagers prior to the crash.

Anyone with any information is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online.
