American amateur Gina Kim had a 72 to join Celine Boutier of France at four under. Boutier has four holes to play.


South Korea’s Jeongeun Lee sits a further shot back at three-under, tied with Americans Jaye Marie Green, Lexi Thompson and Nelly Korda.


Lee, one of the favourites heading into the US Women’s Open and a recent LPGA tournament winner at the LA Open, is among a crowd of players at two-under, after shooting a round of 69 following her opening round effort of 71.
