Man charged after allegedly undressing young girl in abandoned house

A man will face court on Saturday after he allegedly took a young girl into an abandoned house in Sydney’s south-west and started to undress her.


The seven-year-old was playing in front of a house in Macquarie Fields about 4pm yesterday when she was approached by a 34-year-old man, police say.


He allegedly grabbed the girl by the hand and took her into a vacant property nearby, where he partially removed her clothes.


In a statement, police said a witness saw the man approach the girl and contacted one of the child’s relatives.


The relative then went to the house and found the girl with the man.
