CPR on Kelmscott street at 2am as people find cyclist with head injury

A cyclist is in hospital with a serious head injury after bystanders found him lying on the road with his bike in Kelmscott early on Saturday.
The people who found him unconscious, lying face down, at the intersection of Buckingham Road and Marmion Street commenced CPR.
St John Ambulance arrived around 2am and took over.
Paramedics initially rushed him to Armadale Hospital, but have since transferred him to Royal Perth Hospital, again at top speed.
He remains in critical condition.
Police believe the man is in his 30s, but he has not yet been identified.
Major Crash Unit investigators need anyone who may have seen the man riding a dark-coloured mountain bike west along Buckingham Road, or who has dashcam footage from the area between 1am and 2am, or CCTV footage from the area around Buckingham Road and Marmion Street Kelmscott, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online.
