Pedestrian hit by car in Queanbeyan

A 22-year-old pedestrian suffered head injuries when he was hit by a car in Queanbeyan on Monday morning.


Emergency crews were called to the scene just after 7.30am on Canberra Avenue at the intersection of Donald Avenue.

A NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said the 22 year old was treated at the scene by paramedics.


The pedestrian was taken to Canberra Hospital.


The spokeswoman did not say whether the pedestrian was a man or a woman, or what condition the pedestrian was in.


Police were at the scene as of 8.15am, although the road is not expected to be closed to traffic.
