Jonah Bolden ready to stake NBA playoffs bid

Philadelphia: Jonah Bolden is ready to build on the best game of his young NBA career as he stakes his claim for a playoffs role with the Philadelphia 76ers.


The 23-year-old has experienced a roller coaster first NBA season as he battled multiple injuries and spent time in the NBA G League.


But with the playoffs less than two weeks away, the Australian is finding form at the most important time for the 76ers, who are primed to feature strongly.

Starting in place of superstar centre Joel Embiid, Bolden excelled in Philadelphia’s victory over Minnesota on Saturday night, finishing with 19 points, eight rebounds, three blocks and three assists in a season-high 31 minutes of action.
