“Jack underwent successful surgery earlier today and will commence his rehab process as soon as possible,” the club’s head of medical services, Tim O’Leary, said.


“Jack has obviously suffered a serious injury and will therefore be sidelined for an extended period of time. It’s too early to be putting a specific timeline on his recovery at this stage.”


Curnow didn’t return to the field after going down with the injury during the first quarter of Port’s 16-point win. The exciting tall last year recommitted to the Blues until the end of 2023 however he has started 2019 slowly.


Having begun the season with consecutive losses, Carlton host Sydney at Marvel Stadium on Saturday before games against Gold Coast (Metricon Stadium) and the Western Bulldogs (Marvel).


After recent injury issues, Jack Silvagni and Matt Kennedy both put their hands up for senior recalls with strong showing for the Northern Blues on Saturday.
