Teenage girl dies in Epping car crash

A teenager has died in a single car crash in Melbourne’s north.


Two teenage girls were in a Holden Astra when the driver lost control and crashed into a tree in Epping about 1.10am on Friday, police were told.


It is believed the driver died at the scene while the other girl was taken to hospital with minor injuries.


Police are investigating whether car was stolen.
