Brian Lake receiving treatment for 'ongoing mental health challenges'

Former Western Bulldogs and Hawthorn player Brian Lake is receiving treatment for mental health issues and is facing a string of serious police charges.


Lake’s manager, Marty Pask, confirmed that Lake, who played 251 AFL matches, faced a court hearing in Melbourne on Monday night.

It’s understood Lake, 37, is facing aggravated burglary, criminal damage, stalking, unlawful assault and trespassing charges.


“Brian Lake appeared in court on February 25 to face charges in connection with an incident that
occurred on Sunday 17 February,” said Pask, i50 management director, in a statement.
