For most people, a half-marathon is a lifetime achievement. For Ben Seymour, it’s all a bit of fun.
Last week, Seymour completed the Coast to Coast on New Zealand’s South Island, biking, kayaking and running a distance of 243 kilometres in just 15 hours and five minutes.
“I think one of the biggest challenges was the 70-kilometre kayak section,” he said. “Before that, I had only ever kayaked in Sydney Harbour. I just had to throw myself into it.”
Now the Double Bay endurance athlete has a different goal; helping others to complete their half-marathons.
