Police are searching for a 40-year-old Acacia Ridge man who may have been present when Megan Kirley was fatally shot in the head at her partner’s home in Brisbane’s southside last month.


Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Stafford Emmerson was urged not to approach him but to contact police immediately.

Emergency services received a call to a semi-rural home on Wembley Road in Karawatha, near Logan Central, at 3.15am about a disturbance and shooting incident on February 9.


Despite neighbours hearing what they believed were gunshots on Friday night, the triple-zero call was not made until several hours later by Ms Kirley’s partner Pieter Pickering, 37.
