Dr Judd Bowman has been entrance from Arizona State University to a red dunes of Murchison, Western Australia, for 9 years, tinkering with his spectrometer.


Spectrometers collect adult radiowaves. Mr Bowman’s device is unequivocally only a powered-up FM radio, consisting of an antennae, amplifier, calibration circuits and a computer. It is no bigger than a chest freezer.
