Woman dies after stabbing in western Sydney home

A 30-year-old woman has died after she was stabbed in a western Sydney home in the early hours of Saturday.


Police and emergency services were called to the home on Moresby Street, Whalan, shortly after 2am, where they found a woman with a stab wound to her torso.


NSW Ambulance officers treated the woman, however she died at the scene.


A 26-year-old man is assisting police with their inquiries at Mount Druitt Police Station.


Police from the Mount Druitt Local Area Command are investigating.
