Kimberley cops investigate woman's death

Police in WA’s remote Kimberley region are investigating the death of a woman in Kununurra who was found critically injured at a local home.


Police said the 25-year-old woman was found at a residence in Mulga Street on Friday afternoon at around 4:40pm with a serious leg injury “consistent with a stab wound.”


She was taken to hospital by St John Ambulance for treatment but died later in the day.


Homicide Squad detectives and forensic specialists from Perth travelled to Kununurra on Friday and a 30-year-old man, who police said is known to the woman who died, is assisting with the investigation.
