Two men in hospital after violent King Street brawl

Two men are in hospital and two men have been charged after a violent brawl in King Street on Friday night.


Police were called after a fight broke out at 11.15pm involving five men aged between 18 and 21 on the popular CBD clubbing street.


No weapons were involved but two men were injured and taken to hospital, one in a serious condition and one with minor injuries.


They men remain in hospital and police say they will be interviewed later.


After breaking up the fight police arrested three men, two of whom have now been charged.


A 21-year-old man from Altona was charged with intentionally causing injury and affray. He has been bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on June 26.
