Henry, 19, was a rookie selection in 2016, and adds versatility to the young backline that will face the daunting prospect of playing against star Hawthorn forwards Cyril Rioli, Luke Breust, Jarryd Roughead and Paul Puopolo.
“He is a very flexible player,” Scott said.
“He has more of an athletic background. It might add a bit of a rough edge in terms of his football skills … Jack has shown a capacity to play in different parts of the ground.”
Scott said he remained uncertain how long Taylor would miss but it was unlikely he would require surgery.
The Cats remain undecided about whether Nakia Cockatoo, who has played VFL as he returned from a calf injury, will play with the club likely to give him more time.
