The likes of Patty Mills, Aron Baynes, Dante Exum and Joe Ingles have all made contributions in the United States, but hadn’t come close to All-Star status.

It’s an achievement finally broken through by the 22-year-old Simmons, whose Philadelphia team is currently third in the Eastern Conference standings with a 33-18 record.

The other Eastern reserves are Victor Oladipo, Kyle Lowry, Blake Griffin, Khris Middleton, Bradley Beal and Nikola Vucevic for the game which will be held on February 17.

Oklahoma City superstar Russell Westbrook, New Orleans’ Anthony Davis and sharp-shooting duo Klay Thompson and Damian Lillard are among the reserves announced for the Western Conference.
