“That was a really good run today, the leader was just a little bit strong and three weeks between runs caught us out a little but I’m really proud of the horse,” Jones said.


“Chris came back and said the horse is feeling stronger every time he goes around, he couldn’t rap the horse up well enough.


“What I like about this horse is he really puts it on the line and that’s what Chris said, this horse gives it his all and tries his hardest.


“He really lays it all out there and has a real dig and it’s great to take a horse to he race track when you know they’re going to put their all into the race.”


Jones said he was “really happy” with where Almost Court is at and confirmed they’d return to Sydney for the Japan Plate (2000m) on April 21.
