The fire has been contained, however, a smoke warning for Bangholme, Dandenong, Dandenong South, Doveton, Eumemmerring, Hallam, Hampton Park, and Lynbrook has been issued.


One south-bound lane on the highway is closed. No-one was injured in the fire.


“Crew will remain on the scene for most of the day. The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage,” a CFA spokesman said.
