“If he’s saying that he never believed that was inappropriate then, frankly, I think that’s a little bit of a disconnect,” she said.


“Of course I want him to change his behaviour, and I want him to acknowledge that it was wrong.”


Asked whether Biden’s behaviour should disqualify him from the presidential race, Flores replied, “For me, it’s disqualifying. I think it’s up to everybody else to make that decision.”


Biden served eight years as vice president under former president Barack Obama and 36 years in the US Senate.


He has not yet said whether he will run for president in 2020, but has been expected to throw his hat into the ring soon.
