'Genuine, kind hearted': WA country footy player dies after training

Friends took to social media to remember Mr Hernamen who was a role model to those at Harvey Agriculture College and loved football.


“I remember the first training I had with the Harvey Colts and you were the first person to come up and introduce yourself,” one friend posted.


“[I] knew from then the kind of person you were and how much of a brother you became. Devastated is an understatement, hope you’re resting easy up there bro, [it’s] not gonna be the same without you.”


Another said Mr Hernamen would be remembered as a genuine and kind hearted friend.


“Lockie, last night our community lost one of its greatest son,” he wrote.
