In a submission to the royal commission he outlined his journey since investing in Great Southern.


“[I was] full of positivity, optimism and dreams for my family. Doing what I thought was the right thing and setting up our future. I am now a very stressed (with several health issues) 53-year-old man with all those dreams shattered.”


He said his boys have grown up with him forever under a dark cloud and not the positive happy Dad he should have been.


“Ten years of restless sleep. It’s the first thing I think of in the morning and last thing at night. Is tomorrow the day the letter arrives telling me they are taking our house? When will it end? Anger, frustration, embarrassment, depression, sadness, etc… We are real people. Not just numbers and statistics.”


Unfortunately, banks sometimes forget this.
