“He’s probably opened the door, put one hulking leg down and has gone straight under the truck.”


With the heavy rain that pummelled the peninsula on Saturday, the creek would have been up over the bonnet, she said.


“If there had of been more light, I would have tried to get him out, but there was no light.


“My boots were full of water and I was up to here,” she said pointing to her waist.


“I was on the phone to search and rescue in the creek, in the water with the truck.
